[ FAN FIC : YOU AND I ]

I have him, and he has her, both of us already have our own soul mate, but I don’t know why, but, I feel hurt when she closes with him and he feels ache in his heart when I get kissed by him. Daesung and I am best friend since we were little kid, everything we did, we always did it together. One day, he and I move to somewhere far because of our parents got better job offer. So, the last day we spent together, both of us, swear that when we’ll see each other again, we’ll become a couple if both of us still single. But that didn’t becoming into a reality, because when we see each other again, both of us already have boy friend and girlfriend. We stay becoming friends but, in our heart its killing us, because we want to be each other side badly. One day, I have a fight with my boyfriend because I caught him cheating on me. I was so sad back then; I have no one to turn to. I don’t have any friends to talk, so I dialed his number. He picks up the phone, and says “Huh, what’s up?” before I got to say anything, I suddenly burst into tears, and he immediately, say

“What happen? Where are you now? Tell me, I’ll be there in 5 minutes”. Just like he said, after 5 minutes, he showed up in sweater and black jeans looking worried and panting. When he found me at the café, he goes, “why? Why? Are you crying? Huh? Tell me! tell me everything!” while pats me in the back just like he did it when I used to cry when I was still a kid. His scent always seems sweets to me, and his touches always makes me calm. When I hug him, his girlfriend comes up, and hugs me too, when I look at him, he goes “when you called me, I was at her parent’s house. When I told her, that you were crying, she said she wanna come too.” Then I hug his girlfriend, and she say, “everything’s gonna be alright. That guy doesn’t deserve you at all. So, don’t you cry, okay?” she pats me in the back like Daesung did. And I said to myself, “man, she is perfect for him. And she nice too, I really wish I could be as nice like her” then I smile and say, “thanks, dear. Feel much better, now.” Hugs her again, and she reply. “anytime, girl. Remember, that kind of guy, don’t deserve sweet girl like you!” I wipe my wet face and chuckle, “hehe” she goes, laughs too.

After a month, I become a good friend with Daesung’s girlfriend. Because of them, I begin to give my full concentration on my job and my family. But, while I was busy keeping my life all together, Daesung always had fights with his girlfriend. Their argument always about her being too busy for Daesung, even during their photoshoot together, she couldn’t make it, because she was too busy. They always on and off and sometimes it hurts me when I see them, fighting over little stuff. One day, I come over to Daesung’s house and I saw his girlfriend crying and brought her bag out of his house, when I stop her, she was too sad to talk. When I go to Daesung, he was crying too, I don’t know what I suppose to do, to fix this. So, one day, I make a surprise dinner plan for them and hoping they could be together. The dinner starts at 8 pm, so I try to make it as special as possible for them, when both of them arrive, both of them were awed the atmosphere I created for them as soon as they sit facing each other, I play the music that both of them like. Then I leave the rest for them to decide. 11 o clock, and I see, his girlfriend coming out of the restaurant after her, I see Daesung coming out too. When I ask him, he was just sighing and said, “it’s already over between us. But thanks for the help, we like it so much.” Then he walks away from me, and goes to his car and drives away.

After weeks of their break up, Daesung finally starts to speak to me, he keeps calling me over to his place and have dinner with him, go shopping with him, picnic and do all sort of things. When I ask him about what happen between you guys, he said, there is no need for me to know, suddenly, I saw he smiling at me and look away. One night, I work too hard till I lost track of time and when I look at my watch, its shows 10 pm. So I pack my things and heading to go home, when I reach to the parking lot, it was dark, so I walk quickly to my car, then, I can hear footsteps behind me, I was so scared to look at back. So I ran to my car and quickly locked the door. The man suddenly knocks my window and say, “OPEN IT OPEN THE DAMN WINDOW!” I was so scared that I screamed! Then, the man goes, “don’t scream its me!” then he takes off his cap and hoodie, its Daesung! When I saw his face, I cry again, then I unlocked the door, he opens it and say, “aww, were you that scared? I’m sorry, now now, don’t cry, its only me” he comforts me while hugging me and cares my head. Then he goes, “let me drive your car, I don’t think you want people to get accidents when they see your face ruined by your make up, don’t you?” I hit him, then he laughs, and we switch seats. When we arrive at my place, I was asleep. Somehow, in my sleep, I can sense that someone is staring at me, leaning close to me and kiss me lightly on the forehead and say “I love you” but when I open my eyes, I was already in my bedroom. When I check for Daesung presence in my house, he wasn’t here. So I thought, it must be a dream then.

The next day, I wake up with a smile on my face, then I got morning call by Daesung. He says he’s coming to my house in for a breakfast, when I done with my shower, I wear my bathrob, tie it tightly, and go answer the door. When he looks at me, he was blushing and he was sort of not looking at me directly and gives me flowers. When we eat together at dining table, he keep looking at my face, and smiling. When we done eating, he helps me around by cleaning up the dishes while I was in my room, blushing and feel hot all of sudden when I remember his gaze this morning. Just when I have trouble of picking up dress, he comes in, and say, “Wear that blue dress of yours, you look beautiful in it” when I wear it, he goes stun by my look and silence for a while. When he asks me, do I have plans tonight, I said, I got a date, suddenly, the apple that he played before, drop from his mouth when I say “date” . he goes, “Oooh, a date? Okay, with whom? In what time? Where? Does he work with you?” then I ask him, “why are you being suspicious all of sudden? His name is Seunghoo and he’s a co-worker and our date around 8 o clock and we promise to meet the theater. Happy?” then he goes frown, and refuse to answer it. When I said to him, to have fun, he goes “Whatever” sighing. Its 10 am now, and I have to set my hair, so I give him kiss at cheeks and go to the hair salon.

Around 8 pm, I arrive at the theater. I was nervous since its my first date, ever since, my last break up. So I put lots of make up into this date, and when I was waiting for my date, suddenly, I saw Daesung comes to my way. When I pat his back, he was shocked that I’m here and asking me, what am I doing in this place? Before I have the chance to say anything, my date arrives, and I introduce them. And Daesung were like, ignoring my date. And I said “please, don’t embarrass me!” then Daesung goes away while eating his popcorn. When the movie starts, Seunghoo were being gentleman with me, but then, after 20 minutes his hands begin to wander around, and I feel uncomfortable with it, so I told to stop, but he wont listening to me. Suddenly, someone takes my hand and say, “Dude, she say, don’t touch here around like that!” he goes for a punch to my date, then, takes me away from the theater. When Daesung takes me away, his hand grabbing my hands tightly, trying not to slip away and when we goes to my car. He takes the keys from me, and puts me in passenger seats next to him, while he takes the driver seats. Then he starts to drive like a crazy person, I told him to slow down, but he won’t listen to me, then he takes us to our old park that we used to hang around when we still a kid. He parked the car, and went outside, I followed him, I said, “Daesung, what are you trying to do?” then he goes mad, he shouts “YOU ASKING ME WHAT I’M TRYING TO DO? I’M TRYING TO CALM MY SELF DOWN! DO U SAW WHAT HE JUST DID TO U? DO U?” then, he goes scream. I said, “Yes, I do. I still feel uncomfortable about it” when I say that, Daesung turns away, walks toward me, hold me tight and say. “aww, don’t cry, you know how much I hate it when u cry” he hugs me, and say, “I don’t understand what did u see in that guy? I’m way better than him!” I said, “I don’t know, maybe, because I want to have boyfriend quickly?” he replies, “why, would u want such thing?” I said, “It’s because, I can’t control my feelings when I’m around you. I go crazy by your touch, your scent, your smiles and your gaze.” Then he goes, “what are you trying to say here?” I said, while looking down trying to avoid his gaze, I said, “Its because I love you, and I want you so badly, but I know. It never going to happen between us, since only I, feel this feeling towards you.” I walk away from him, wiping my tears falling, suddenly I feel he hugs my waist from behind, and whisper to me, “No, don’t go please don’t go.” He rest his head at my right shoulder, his lips at my shoulder, then he whisper and say it slowly, “the truth is I love you too, that’s why I was jealous when u on a date with some guy and I was mad when he did that to you” then, I break his hug from me, I say, “please, don’t lie to me, I know u have feelings with your ex” his face then changed when I said that, then I walk away from him, he blocks my way,

“Stop, running away from me, I don’t finish with you yet!” he looks at me, but I can’t let him see my blush face, then he pulls my face up, and hold it, he goes “You got it all wrong, its true I loved her, but, our love dies, the moments I saw u again and the moments where she found another person too.” My expressions turn to clueless when I heard that, he laughs seeing my expressions, he kiss my cute pointy nose, and he continues, “The moment when u got dump by you boyfriend, I was happy. But I was sad too, when I saw u miserable at the other night. My girlfriend knew that the one I truly love is you, but she didn’t bring it up, while we dating, because I always treat her nice. But, when things got complicated and she got busy with her business. We got tired and think that we should end our relationship before it got worse. That’s why; u saw her the other day, carrying her luggage from my home.” My face changes when he told me the stories, I look away, then he pulls back say, “hey hey, don’t look away when I talk to you” I’m blush when he says that, then he goes pinch my cheeks and plant a soft kiss each cheeks, those kiss make me goes weak at both knee, then he smiles he said, “after that, u made a dinner plan right? I’m gonna say, that was bold of you, trying to pair us up, but its too late, while she and I at the table, we were talking about you. She convinces me to win your heart but I say to her, its impossible because you are hard to win, then she told me few trick for me to use it on you.”

 I hit him, and say “hey, that’s no fair! You should told me sooner, bout your feelings!”

he said, “Why? Am I too late now?” I reply. “NO”

then he goes, “so what the rush? I love looking at u when u are clueless, because when u do that its so cute, and I like it when u are cute,” then he kiss my lips again. When he kisses me, I was like high up in the sky, his hands are big, and one hand is enough to lock both of my hand. He pause his kiss, then say, “I thought I wanna win you over today, but, u give me surprise when u told me u got a date already.” I frown, I said, “that’s because I thought u were thinking on coming back with her, so, I thought I don’t want to bother you. Although its killing me inside.” Then he hits my head pretty hard and scold me, “Stupid, if you love me that much, you shouldn’t date someone else! And don’t think that, whatever you do is going to bring benefits for us! Do u think it’s easy for me seeing you kissing somebody and holding someone else’s hands?” he bites my arm, and say, “bad hand!” I laugh when he does that, he laughs too, he continues, “don’t ever pull that kind of stunt anymore, and if you wanna tell me something, just say it! I’ll try to understand it!”

I said, “but, but”

he cut offs, “no but but, from now on, you are no longer can do that kind of stunt and don’t do stuff that makes me go nuts! Especially today! , and don’t ever show up in your front door with just a bathrobe! If I find you, wear like that again, I’ll make you pay!” he pinch my nose, then he kiss it, to make the pain go away. He goes hug again, say “So, now u know how I feel about you. So, from now on, you are mine only and don’t ever think on leaving me.” I said, “hey, u don’t trust me?”


he shakes his head means NO, then I pinch his cheeks, he goes, “OUCH OUCH! Ok ok” then he laughs while holding me with his arms. We walk to edge of the cliff, we lie there to look at stars tonight, and he said, “Do u remember, our promise?” I said, “yes, why?” he replies, “nothing, I never knew that our promise could be true.” Then he lie on his right side, towards me, reaching out my hand and kiss it, and put it on his chest, he vows, “from tonight onwards, I , Kang Daesung will never leave my girl behind and I’ll make sure she stays happy besides me till forever.” I said, “thank you” he gives me signal to give him kiss at cheek, when I do that he turns his head and make it lips kiss. Since that day, we live our life as best friend, couple and soon to be husband and wife. – THE END
